Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 20, 2026 (version 1.0)

QuickQuick is a platform, not a merchant.
QuickQuick is a marketplace platform only. We connect buyers with independent sellers; we do not sell products or services ourselves, we do not hold customer funds, and we do not act as an escrow service. Every payment for a purchase, booking or ride goes directly from the buyer to the seller (by card into the seller's own account, by Interac e-Transfer, or in person). Any purchase, booking, ride, delivery, refund, or dispute is between the buyer and the seller; section 8 explains the help QuickQuick gives.

1. The platform

QuickQuick (quick-quick.ca and the QuickQuick app), operated by QuickQuick Inc. ("QuickQuick", "we"), provides online tools that let independent sellers present a storefront and let buyers discover, order from, book with, ride with, and message those sellers. QuickQuick is not a party to any transaction concluded between buyers and sellers. These terms are a contract between you and QuickQuick Inc.

2. Accounts and age

  • You must be 18 or older to hold an account. A person under 18 may use QuickQuick only through a parent or guardian's account and under their supervision.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering, including a valid email address and a phone number that can receive text messages, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Accounts may be suspended or closed for fraud, abuse, safety complaints, or breach of these terms.

3. Payments and money

  • QuickQuick never holds customer funds. Card payments are charged by the seller's own payment account (Stripe) and settle to the seller; QuickQuick sees a reference, not the money. Interac e-Transfers go from your bank to the seller's. In-person payment is between you and the seller.
  • Because the money never passes through QuickQuick, QuickQuick cannot reverse a payment and does not refund from its own funds. Refunds are made by the seller: automatically to your card when the seller cancels a paid order or booking, or by e-Transfer where you paid that way. Where an automatic refund fails, QuickQuick alerts its team, who follow up with the seller until it is resolved.
  • Interac e-Transfer. Telling us you have sent a transfer records your statement; the seller confirms receipt. A transfer you send is yours to trace with your bank if it does not arrive. Once you have told us a transfer was sent, an order can no longer be cancelled by you alone; cancellation goes through the seller so the refund is recorded.
  • Prices are set by sellers and shown in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Sellers are responsible for any applicable taxes on what they sell.
  • Referral rewards are QuickQuick's own money. When we run a referral program, a reward is credit that QuickQuick grants, never money held for you. If you spend that credit at checkout, QuickQuick reimburses the seller the credited amount from QuickQuick's own funds. Rewards are capped, may be changed or withdrawn for future referrals at any time, are earned only when the referred person's first order is completed, and have no cash value.
  • Gift cards sold on QuickQuick are issued by the seller, redeemable only at that seller's store, and are the seller's obligation. A purchased gift card does not expire and carries no fees. If the order that a gift card paid for is cancelled, its balance is restored.

4. Buyer terms

  • Orders, bookings, deliveries, pickups, cancellations, and refunds are agreed with, and fulfilled by, the seller.
  • Report problems with a purchase to the seller first (the in-app messaging exists for this). QuickQuick may assist with information and, where a booking is disputed, review it as described in section 8.
  • Sellers listing goods warrant that the items are genuine, lawfully theirs to sell, and described accurately. Counterfeit or misdescribed goods are not permitted, and QuickQuick may remove a listing or a store for them. Goods are sold locally — collected in person or delivered by the seller — and are not shipped.
  • Any return window shown on a store's page is the seller's own policy, offered and honoured by that seller.
  • Cancellation and late fees. A service or ride booking shows the seller's cancellation cut-off and any late-cancellation fee before you confirm. Cancelling a prepaid booking after the cut-off is charged that fee; the rest is refunded. A prepaid booking you do not attend is not refunded. A booking paid in person cannot be cancelled after the cut-off; contact the seller.
  • No-shows. A seller may record that you did not attend a booking you did not pay for in advance. Repeated no-shows restrict you to paying online at the time of booking, and a recent no-show removes your standing to book rides until it clears. You can dispute a no-show mark within 14 days (section 8).
  • You may not use QuickQuick to buy or sell anything the law forbids selling, or anything that requires a licence the seller does not hold.

5. Seller terms

  • You must hold — and keep current — every permit and licence your activity requires, including a food handling certificate for food businesses and any applicable professional licence for services. Verification documents are reviewed before your store becomes public, but responsibility for legal compliance remains yours at all times.
  • You are solely responsible for the quality and safety of what you sell, for accurate listings, for fulfilling orders and appointments you accept, for your cancellation and return policies, and for your own taxes, including collecting and remitting any tax that applies to your sales.
  • Subscription. You pay QuickQuick a subscription fee for the storefront tools. Each plan starts with a free trial that takes no card; if you subscribe before the trial ends, the remaining trial days carry into your first paid period. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your subscription page; your store stays open until the end of the period you have paid for, and no part of a period already paid is refunded except where the law requires it. We give at least 30 days' notice before a price increase takes effect on your renewal, and before a promotional discount ends.
  • QuickQuick takes no commission on your sales and never holds your revenue. The only money QuickQuick pays a seller is its own: a reimbursement when a buyer spends QuickQuick-granted referral credit at your checkout (section 3).
  • QuickQuick may suspend or remove stores that break these terms, misrepresent their offering, receive credible safety complaints, or lapse in their subscription.
  • Indemnity. You will defend and compensate QuickQuick and QuickQuick Inc. against any claim, loss or cost arising from what you sell, serve or drive, from a breach of these terms, or from your failure to hold a licence, permit or insurance your activity requires.

6. Verification

Sellers must submit identity and licence documents during onboarding. QuickQuick reviews these documents before a store is made visible to buyers. This review is a screening step only — it is not a guarantee, endorsement, or certification of the seller, and it does not transfer any responsibility for the seller's activity to QuickQuick. A "verified" label on QuickQuick means that documents were reviewed, nothing more.

7. QuickRide (shared car journeys)

QuickRide lets a seller offer seats in their own car on a journey they are making, and lets a buyer reserve one. It is cost-shared carpooling, not a taxi, rideshare, or passenger-transport service. QuickQuick does not own vehicles, employ or engage drivers, dispatch journeys, set fares, or carry passengers. The driver sets the price of a seat, QuickQuick takes no share of it, and QuickQuick never holds the fare.

  • Cost-sharing. A seat price is meant to share the driver's fuel and running costs for the journey, not to earn a profit. QuickQuick shows drivers a suggested price based on the route's distance and warns them above it. Carpooling is regulated provincially; a price above the sharing of costs can make a journey commercial transport under provincial rules and under the driver's own insurance. Drivers are responsible for their own driver's licence, vehicle registration, and insurance that permits carrying passengers, and for complying with the rules of the province they drive in.
  • What QuickQuick checks. Before a car can carry anyone, QuickQuick decodes its VIN against a public vehicle database to confirm the make and year, and a member of our team reads the registration and insurance documents the seller uploads. The seller confirms, in a dated statement renewed every twelve months, that the vehicle's insurance is in force and that each named driver's licence is valid for the vehicle and allows carrying passengers who share the cost of the trip. This is a screening step, not a guarantee: QuickQuick does not verify ownership, does not confirm with an insurer that a policy is in force at the moment of travel, and does not check driving history. "Vehicle documents reviewed" on a departure means exactly that.
  • Riders. To book a seat you must have a confirmed email, a phone number verified by text, and no recent no-show. A driver may run a route on request: your seats are held until the driver answers, nothing is charged until they accept, and a request you withdraw, that is declined, or that goes unanswered costs nothing.
  • Rules of the ride. Wear a seatbelt. A passenger under 18 travels only with a parent or guardian on the same booking. Bring only the baggage the listing allows; luggage and personal items are your own responsibility. Respect the listing's rules on smoking and pets. Either side may cancel a booking under the cancellation terms shown; a driver who cancels a departure refunds every paid seat in full.
  • If something goes wrong. In an emergency, call 911 first. Report an accident or injury to the police and to the driver's insurer; QuickQuick is not an insurer and does not adjust claims. Report a safety concern about a ride, a driver or a passenger through the booking page; every safety report reaches the QuickQuick team at once, and QuickQuick may suspend a driver, a vehicle or a rider while it looks into it.
  • Licence plates are automatically obscured on vehicle photos shown publicly. A driver's phone number and the vehicle's plate are shown to a passenger only once a seat is confirmed and, where paid online, paid. A driver sees a rider's phone number only once the driver has accepted them. Drivers may rate riders after a completed trip; those ratings are visible to drivers who carry that rider and to the rider, and to no one else.
  • Passengers travel at their own risk and are responsible for their own conduct in the vehicle. Journey times are estimates and are never a promise.

8. Disputes and the help QuickQuick gives

  • A dispute about an order or a booking is between you and the seller, and the first step is always the in-app conversation with them.
  • For a booking marked completed or missed, either side may ask QuickQuick to review within 14 days of the appointment. The seller answers first; if the two of you disagree, a member of the QuickQuick team reads both accounts and gives a decision. This is a good-faith review offered to keep the marketplace fair. It is not arbitration, it is not binding on a court, QuickQuick is not obliged to reach a decision, and a decision to refund is carried out by the seller from the seller's own account.
  • If you report that a refund the seller owes you by e-Transfer has not arrived, QuickQuick reminds the seller and, if it stays unpaid, may suspend the seller's store until it is settled. QuickQuick does not pay the refund itself.
  • Nothing here stops you from using a chargeback, a complaint to a consumer protection office, or the courts.

9. Content, reviews and takedown

  • You keep ownership of what you post (listings, photos, videos, reviews, messages). You give QuickQuick a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, translate and excerpt it on QuickQuick and in QuickQuick's own promotion of the platform, for as long as it is on the platform, and you confirm you have the right to post it, including the consent of anyone shown in a photo or named as a driver.
  • Reviews must be honest accounts of a real purchase, booking or ride. Reviews show the reviewer's first name and initial. Sellers may reply publicly but cannot edit or remove a review; QuickQuick may hide reviews that break these terms. Drivers' ratings of riders are never public.
  • You may not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, that discloses someone's private information, or that infringes another person's rights.
  • Takedown. Anyone can report a listing, review, rating, message or ride from the page it appears on. QuickQuick reads every report, aims to act within five business days, removes or hides content that breaks these terms or the law, and tells the person who posted it. A person named in content may also write to hello@quick-quick.ca.

10. Privacy

How we collect, use, share and keep personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickQuick and QuickQuick Inc. are not liable for any loss, damage, illness, injury, or dispute arising from transactions between buyers and sellers or from a shared car journey, including food safety incidents, service outcomes, missed appointments, undelivered orders, road accidents, or payment disagreements. The platform is provided "as is". Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to a seller is limited to the subscription fees that seller paid QuickQuick in the twelve months before the claim, and to a buyer, to one hundred dollars. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights that consumer protection law or other law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract; in particular, for a consumer in Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act applies and prevails over any clause here that conflicts with it.

12. Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes are heard by the courts of New Brunswick. If you live in another province or territory, the consumer protection law of your province still protects you and you may bring a claim where you live. If you live in Quebec, these terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, disputes are heard by the courts of Quebec, and nothing here requires you to arbitrate or waives your right to bring a class action.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Each version is dated and numbered. For a material change we will tell you on the platform and ask you to accept the updated terms before you continue using your account; for a minor change, continuing to use QuickQuick after the change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account.
